Blue Rubber Bleb Nevus Syndrome: a diagnosis to keep in mind - 1.º Prémio (Fotografia) Rui Mendo, Catarina O'Neill, Ana Rita Franco, Rita Barosa, Pedro Figueiredo, Cristina Chagas Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Ocidental An 80-year-old leucodermic man with past history of atrial fibrillation and arterial hypertension presented with iron-deficiency anemia. Medication history included dabigatran. He underwent an esophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy that were unrevealing. He underwent capsule endoscopy where multiple protruding nodular bluish lesions were found in the small bowel without active bleeding. Medical records were reviewed and a previous Dermatology appointment was found where multiple violaceous, compressible and nonpulsatile nodular cutaneous lesions were described. Given the multifocal venous vascular malformations we established the diagnosis of blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome. The patient is currently under oral iron supplementation with good clinical response. Outras fotos:Error
