Invaginação ileocólica - da TC à colonoscopia

A 72-year-old man presented to the emergency department complaining of abdominal pain with low-abdomen tenderness on examination but no rebound. The contrast computed tomography scan of the abdomen revealed edematous wall thickening of the ascending colon with invagination of an ileal loop into the cecum suggesting an ileocolic intussusception. The leading structure was a 17-mm fatty dense structure within the bowel lumen which appeared on colonoscopy as a yellowish mass with intact mucosa exhibiting a typical “pillow-sign”. The patient underwent laparoscopic right hemicolectomy combined with an ileotransverse anastomosis. The histopathology report confirmed a 2,5x2cm submucosal lipoma in the terminal ileum.
